Gortnor Abbey is located approximately one mile from Crossmolina, Co Mayo on the shores of Lough Conn.

The project required the extension / refurbishment of a number of wings dating from 1900s, 1930s and the 1960s, each with its own form of construction and included general classrooms, specialist rooms, library, kitchen and canteen facilities

The replacement of the original demesne house to incorporate into the school required a conservation approach to some of the original fabric while an innovative two storey glass link provided universal access to all levels.

The project has been successful in knitting together the various wings of the complex to give a coherent identity to the overall campus.
